Karl Hague

CEO and founder

Karl has held a variety of positions in the credit and collections industry. His specialisms are trade credit insurance and commercial debt recovery.

Having become frustrated by antiquated practices and a lack of transparency in business dealings, Karl founded Ko-bolt. An innovative financial services business whose core aim to ensure that SMBs have the right tools to reduce their days sales outstanding, manage their cash flow and protect themselves from the risk of bad debt and insolvency.

Karl is a member of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management and outside work he enjoys cycling, motorsport and spending time with his young family.

Mike Hadfield

Head of legal services

Mike set up the firm over 24 years ago after over 10 years practice in reputable London firms and prior to that in the Civil Service. He had no particular ambition to start his own firm but was frustrated by what he saw as the strictures and politics of larger firms which prevented him from developing his practice in the way he wanted to. Together with his business partner Karen the firm has steadily grown but has retained its core values.

Mike devotes a great deal of his energy and time to the firm but outside of that enjoys time with his family and has a wide range of interests in politics, current affairs, music theatre and film. He was formerly Chair and Trustee of a charity for some years but had to give this up as the demands of the business increased. He hopes to be able to return to some public service role in the future.
